WHEN WE FLY:

Unlike other clubs in the Mid North Coast (Nabiac and others) we are able to fly on any day WITH NO NOISE RESTRICTIONS.

The Club days are Thursday and Sunday morning, from 9.00am to early afternoon, but any club member may fly at any time on any day of the week. We like to have a club member with you for safety reasons, so advice of using the field is important.

WHO CAN FLY?

Unlike clubs controlled with an iron fist by the MAAA, the Forster Great Lakes Model Aero Club, being an AMAS club, allows modelers insured by any organization to fly at our  field.  To negate the threats by the MAAA, we ask you to sign our visitors book for the first six visits - and by doing so you are insured under the AMAS visitors policy.  Hopefully by that time, you will be delighted with our club and if so, then you must decide if you would like to fly at our club under MAAA insurance or join AMAS at half the price.

RUNWAYS

The Club has two runways.

One runway is 200m long and the other 300m.

        * The shorter runway has 120m of Astro Turf providing an all weather smooth surface devoid of grass clippings or dirt. It is                    perfect for electric models with smaller wheels and glo models.

*The 300m runway is ideal for very large models and provides ample space to ensure safe landings where distance is required.

FACILITIES

In addition to our two runways, we have a  large club house with running water, Cooking, battery charging and repair facilities, as well as a toilet.

Our Club has two high wing electric Club trainers for flying on buddy cords, as well as a self correcting electric trainer for absolute beginners

GLIDING

Our club is located between Wallis Lake and Seven Mile beach which provides a unique environment for gliding. Thermals developed in the correct weather are excellent.

Thanks for visiting!

We look forward to seeing you at our wonderful club
